OPENING DAY SPRING 2025 THIS SATURDAY 3/1 INFORMATION

Hello PSYB Families,

It's the final countdown week before our Spring 2025 REC season begins. We hope you all enjoyed your break and are ready to get back to baseball. We are excited about the Opening Day of Spring baseball which will be this Saturday 3/1/25 at Powder Springs Park 4000 Lewis Rd Ext Powder Springs, GA 30127. We have a lot of information to share with you for this weekend's activities.

*Opening Day Parade will start at 9am from the First Baptist Church overflow lot on Marietta Street in downtown Powder Springs. See www.psyb.com for the map of the parade route.
*For the divisions of Shetland and older, please have only coaches and players marching in the parade. Parents and fans will line the streets. The teams will line up in alphabetical order starting with Pre-ball, Shetland, Pinto, Mustang, Bronco/Pony and then the parks travel teams.
*Opening Ceremonies will start at 9:30am with first pitch to follow.

The Parade:
Arrive by 8am as the surrounding road closures will start at 8:30am.
Please wear comfortable shoes as this is a walking parade.
Make sure your team banners can be easily carried and are sturdy.
Feel free to give out candy to the parade onlookers as you pass them on the parade route.
The parade will end on Field 5. Once the parade arrives at Field 5 at the park. The teams will line up from Pre-Ball to Pony and travel teams starting with Pre-Ball on the 3rd base side of the field.

Opening Day:
Games will start at 10:30am and end around 3pm.
Please pay close attention to certain areas around the park that will be reserved for vendor parking.
Our vendors for opening day will be:
Kona Ice, Top Sports Goods, Hardy Automotive Group. Raffles by our 12U Lost Mountain Majors Powder Springs travel team and the 9U Indians Allstar team. We have tons of PSYB Swag that will be available to purchase, and we will be running a BIG sale on Opening Day. The Swag tent will be located near the pavilion.

***Important information about Picture Day 3/15/25: All of our coaches currently have been given the picture day schedule. Please contact your coach or team mom for your team picture information and time slot.

Be on the lookout for the link for our PSYB Braves Day game ticket sales. The link will be shared within a few weeks via email and our social medias. Braves Day will be on Sunday April 20th.
