OPENING DAY 3/4/2023 INFORMATION

Hello PSYB Families,

We hope you all enjoyed your break and are ready to get back to baseball. We are excited about Opening Day Spring 2023 this Saturday 3/4/23 and have a lot of information to share with you for this week and weekend activities.

*Fields will be closed for all practices after Wednesday March 1st.
*Opening Day Parade will start at 9am from the First Baptist Church overflow lot on Marietta Street in downtown Powder Springs.
*For divisions Shetland and older, please have only coaches and players marching in the parade. Parents and fans please line the streets.
*Opening Ceremonies will start at 9:30am with first pitch to follow.

The Parade:
Please arrive by 8am as the surrounding road closures will start at 8:30am
We will line up starting with Pre-Ball and ending with the travel teams.
Please dress warm and wear comfortable shoes as this is a walking parade.
Make sure your team banners can be easily carried and are sturdy.
Feel free to give out candy to the parade onlookers as you pass them on the parade route.
The parade will end on Field 5. Once the parade arrives at Field 5 the teams will line up from Pre-Ball to Pony and travel teams starting on the 3rd base side of the field.

Opening Day:
Games will start at 10am and end by 3pm.
Please pay close attention to certain areas around the park that will be reserved for vendor parking.
Our vendors for opening day will be:
Dough in the Box for doughnuts and coffee
Kona Ice

Lastly, we have been able to secure an additional 250 Braves tickets for the 4/23/2023 game. Out of that number of tickets we have 80 or so left to purchase.
